The CCNY Writing Center Orientation

Our goal is to provide a nonjudgmental environment and empower you to communicate your ideas in writing. You can visit at any stage of the writing process.

We are open on

  • Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays 11 am – 6 pm
  • Tuesdays 11 am – 7 pm
  • Fridays 11 am – 4 pm
  • Saturdays 9 am – 2 pm

You can book an appointment through www.ccny.cuny.edu/writing or by speaking with a receptionist on Zoom: bit.ly/ccnywritingcenter. You may also try for a virtual drop-in session.

WC sessions last 50 minutes.

You can have up to 3 sessions per week and one session per day. If you are running late, we will hold the appointment for 5min (10 if you notify us via email or Zoom).

You can request a Writing Center visit confirmation to be emailed to your instructor; provide your full name; course (ex: FIQWS 10100); professor’s name and email address.

You must work with a tutor for at least 30 minutes to receive the visit confirmation.
